looking back on 2013

i chose not to answer all the questions. 

  

1:What did you do in 2013 that you’d never done before?

go up in front of an audience and sing. i was always part of the school choir but this year at the yis live concert, i sang as the main singer for an acapella group covering taylor swift's "i knew you were trouble". 

• 2:Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
• i didnt make any new years resolution except "lose weight" but that's every year's resolution. 

• 3:Did anyone close to you give birth?
• no

• 4:Did anyone close to you die?
• my grandfather in january. the next day in school we had chinese class and we were learning about family members and how to say grandpa in mandarin and i ran out of the room crying. i went to his funeral and i had a video camera in my hand and i video taped everything down to the last moment when they laid the last brick down with mortar. that was when i knew that this would be a bad year. 

• 5:What countries did you visit?
• i visited thailand, singapore and korea. in february i went to chiang mai and that was the first time ive been to thailand outside of the suvarnabhumi airport. i went with my class as the www and i love love loved the trip. i learnt that i loved elephants and learnt alot more about people in general. in the summer i went to singapore and then in november i went to seoul for the mun conference with the mun people from my school. when i went to seoul for mun i noticed that this is the competition i have to go against for college and that i am way behind and i need to catch up. a few days ago i just came back from phuket and everything was so perfect. the water was so clear the air so fresh the sky so blue and everything was beautiful. 

• 6:What would you like to have in 2014 that you lacked in 2013
• determination. 2013 was a bad year in general for getting things done. i was lazy. i was bored and i was sleepy all the time. 

• 9:What was your biggest failure?
• school. i failed to pay more attention in school. 

• 11:What was the best thing you bought?

• two pairs of shoes. one is a pair of boots with spikes and another is a pair of creepers. 

• 12:Whose behaviour merited celebration?
• a friend who i didnt talk to for 2 years and i are now good friends again. i'm glad he was able to push aside our differences and his behavior merits celebration.

• 13:Whose behaviour made you appalled?
• a girl in my class who has always shocked me with her childish immaturity. 

• 14:Where did most of your money go?
• shoes.

• 15:What did you get really, really, really excited about?
• i got really, really, really excited about going to chiang mai, seoul and phuket. i love going to other places and when i get really excited for trips, i dont sleep the night before and i didnt sleep before any of those. 

• 16:What song will always remind you of 2013?
• fkin problems - a$ap rocky

• 17:Compared to this time last year, are you: (a) happier or sadder? (b) thinner or fatter? (c) richer or poorer?
• (a) sadder because life is more complicated and i understand more which means i know more and that's not always a good thing. 
• (b) actually i got fatter because this time last year i was trying to starve myself in hopes that my weight loss will be faster. i just came back from phuket and i pigged out so much during then. 
• (c) i dont have an income so i dont really know however my mom gives me more money to spend now than last year so i guess i am richer. 

• 18:What do you wish you’d done more of?
• pay more attention in school. i come from a family with a lot of expectations and i cant let them down like my brother did.

• 19:What do you wish you’d done less of?
• sit around idly and wait for something to happen.

• 20:How did you spend Christmas?
• i spent most of my christmas on airplanes and at airports on the way to phuket from myanmar. 

• 21:Did you fall in love in 2013?
• yes and i wish i didnt and i wish it didnt sound this pretentious

• hannibal

• 23:Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
• a friend that i considered close

• 24:What was the best book you read?
• i am sad to say that i didnt read much however the best book i read was hard boiled wonderland and the end of the world by haruki murakami

• 25:What was your greatest musical discovery?
• laura welsh and disclosure and sam smith

• shoes

• somebody, a tattoo, dyeing my hair

• the hobbit

• 30:How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2013?

• a lot of dark colors and sad things but i also wore a lot of girly things. i dont know what i do with my clothes really.

• my grandfather
• 35:Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2013.

• its best to just act like you dont give a shit and sometimes its ok to be selfish and hurt others and stop feeling so guilty all the time and stop saying sorry. 

• dont lie because it takes more effort to remember and make up the lies than to just tell the truth.
